Socks and cats
Is there anything else more comforting than knit socks and kitties? So I finished up Roza's Socks today. The bottom is the more pink yarn. I'm wearing them now and I can tell the difference. Would any non-knitter be able to tell? Probably not. They are very comfy! So it's Lorna's Laces done on size 0 with 72 stitches instead of the 60 the pattern calls for. I have wide feet. I've always had wide feet. I always got 7D pointe shoes growing up. It's just the way it is.
Here's a close-up of the purl based brioche stitch. Please ignore my pasty white skin. It's very cute. I even like the other side of the fabric. Might have to do socks with that pattern. But next up is some koigu with an 8 stitch pattern from SKS. Going to order the 25 favorite sock patterns so that'll be next next.
And here are the promised kitties. Could there be anything better than being a house cat? I mean really.
Oops! Someone thinks they're hiding!
Callie says, "What? Whatcha staring at?"
This is what Peaches thinks of our sorting getting rid of this bin full of blankets and towels and sheets.
I feel like we're not getting rid of enough, but we're not keeping excessive amounts of things either. And there's a storage room in the basement where we're going. We're keeping some glassware and serving stuff that we didn't have space for here, but we think we'll have some space for in the next place. We have Hubby's scuba gear which takes some space and text books that we might still need. The storage unit is almost empty of boxes and bins leaving just the big pieces. Can't wait to have the yard sale and see all the little stuff go! Hopefully this warm streak will stick around for good now and we'll have a yard to have a sale on!
